What place does photography have in a world of AI slop?

One quick answer is that photography documents things as they actually are, but that's never been entirely true - the lens always interprets what’s being framed, and modern post production (no matter how light) shapes the beauty and emotion of a scene long after it was captured.

But the hope is that there is at least some givenness still involved in street and travel photography - a physical place explored or people observed during unscheduled and unstaged moments - and that the restraints of reality can enhance the meaning of an image in ways that purely digital invention never will.

If you’re interested in fine art prints, please let me know which photos you’re considering and at what size - most can be printed up to 60” without losing any sharpness or resolution. This site contains only selected works, so feel free to ask about a wider range of options depending on subject or style.

I generally print at Coupralux in Dallas, Texas, and also work with custom framers in Dallas or Austin as needed. For overseas printing, WhiteWall (for the right products and with the right profiles) can also work well.
